That's what we did today, with several other "kids" from church. It was lots of fun, and it was a nice, windy day for it.

Isn't this just the prettiest little pansy? I've always loved pansies....the variety of them seems endless and they always catch my eye..

I went back out to the Sunken Gardens today to do some senior portraits for a friend. While I was waiting, I was taking some close-up flower shots when I saw this "thing" flying around these flowers. It was probably only about 2 inches long and I couldn't figure out what it was. At first, I thought it was a butterfly, but then I looked closer and I thought perhaps a hummingbird.

Well, now that I can kinda see it closer, I don't think it's a hummingbird, but I have no idea what it is. It certainly isn't like any butterfly I've ever seen.

Just thought I'd toss this one out there - it shows a good view of the pagoda at the sunken gardens. There was actually a wedding ceremony going on in there when we first arrived.

One of my favorite places here. It was reopened last year after many much needed repairs were done. It used to be a quarry and has a huge lovely pagoda that overlooks the gardens. To see the rest of the pictures I took, click on the photo above.

Happy Birthday Little Sis!!!

Today is my little sister's birthday. My mom had seven kids and I was number six, so she is the ONLY little sister I have. She is the epitome of awesomeness. She excells at everything she does (tended to make me look bad as a kid, but I got over it) and is just a neat, fun person to be around. My kids love her to death and so do I for that matter.

Things that are cool about her?

* Well, first of all, she's my sister, duh!
* She also married a man who's last name starts with a "Z"
* She gets saluted when she goes on base and shows her id....I laugh, because I don't have to salute her....LOL
* She loves my kids
* She can take a joke
* She can keep a secret
* She "gets" me.....at least she does a good job of acting like she does.

We'll have to go out to dinner when you get home.

That's what my daughter said about this picture, I think I agree. The color is just awesome.

This is from my neighbors yard, by the way. My flowers look more like the previous entry. LOL...I wish I had a green thumb.

I took this several years ago....was trying to get a "pretty" picture of the nasty weed that was driving me nuts. Nothing more fun in the spring than pulling weeds for hours and hours during weekends.

Anyhow, I decided to find this shot and do some creative editing. Hope y'all like it.
